The shape of these superlight earrings remind me of those little cocktail umbrellas...
They are handmade of artbook pages and silver.
The book pages show multicolored patterns of the 1930s.
I have made many different earring pieces out of this book yet (it is a huge book), because I love its playful colored patterns.
The bookpages are handcut, dyed and bound, then glued to an inner cylinder to make a stable form.
The light blue colored cutting edges are wax-sealed.
Each pair is made by myself and differs a little bit due to the usage of different pages from the same book.
The cutting edge can be dyed in different colors (it's blue on the photos) to change the color direction - please let me know which colour you like!
As the paper is firm and has a good stiffness, so it stays in shape.
The earwires are made of 925 sterling silver.
Length app. 50 mm
They will stand some rain, but must not soak.
